Redwoods National Park in northern California like all national parks has its own special unique pull that draws visitors from around the world. As the name implies it’s the redwood trees themselves that create the magic here. Enormous trees, bigger and taller than can even be imagined. I’ve been to the redwoods on several occasions now and I’m still surprised when I see some of the trees. They are always bigger than I remember.

One of my favorite parts about our trips to the redwoods are the close-up views one can get of elk in the meadows around park headquarters.
